If you look at the end of the t4ree that black mass it the root ball of this tree. This tree had fallen down and the root ball was kind of cool looking, Too bad you can not really see it in this photo.
After lunch on the way back we then stopped for another break to enjoy the view.

The rocks were really slippery so we had to be careful when getting back to dry land from behind the falls.

There was this little shaky bridge to cross the water that ran from Shadow Falls. Lorinda stoped for a photo opp.

There was this really neat wooden bench that someone made. It was off the side of the hill. If the tree was not there this bench would have fallen down the hill.

We made it to Fern Falls. It was so beautiful. Full of moss & ferns.

There were some really big tall trees there.
